It was a good night’s work for Celtic who put two past Az Alkmaar in the first leg of their Europa League tie at Celtic Park.
It was that man Kyogo who put Celtic in front in the first half before James Forrest got a slice of luck hitting it home via a deflection. At the time James was credited with the goal inside the stadium and on many of the live score sites.
After the game UEFA issued the correction that it was credited as an own goal.
UPDATE: Celtic's second goal has been changed to a Timo Letschert own goal.#UEL https://t.co/X22XOJp7Mk

The Hoops played some great stuff but had some luck along the way. Alkmaar we’re not composed at all in front of goal and couldn’t take advantage of the chances they did have.
Celtic take a two nil lead to the Netherlands next week in the hope of getting to the Europa group stage. They’ve given themselves a tremendous chance!
