Islam Feruz sees an all to familiar buzz around Karamoko Dembele like he did with himself back in 2009. The young Celtic starlet played in a charity game for Tommy Vurns at Celtic Park back when he was 14-years-old and got a lot of attention because of it.

Hailed as one for the future it became apparent quickly that Islam’s head had been turned and his attitude changed when everyone was telling him how good he was.

The player left for Chelsea for big money wages under a cloud, hoping to continue his progress at Stamford Bridge but now finds himself out on-loan for the fourth time and with a reputation as a player hard to handle.

Speaking candidly the player offered young Karamoko advice on the attention he is already recieving.

I remember it all just seemed to happen at once and hit me overnight,” Feruz told the Daily Mail about his own development.

“There was so much publicity. It was very hard to handle. My family and friends were also thrust into the spotlight.

“It’s hard to cope when you are so young. It’s easy to put your faith in other people and it becomes easy to lose focus on football. People will now want to get involved with him and, no doubt, promise plenty.”

“The people of Scotland, in every walk of life, must try to protect him. I wish him luck.”

Feruz is currently at Belgian side Excel Mouscron looking to kickstart his once promising career.
