Alan Hutton has praised Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers for his performances in the Hoops.
The USA international made the switch to Celtic permanently this summer for a reported transfer fee of around £6 million.

He was signed on deadline day last year and very quickly became an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s side.
He once again kept a clean sheet in Celtic’s fourth league outing of the season with a 2-0 victory over Hearts. That’s the Hoops third of the season so far.
Due to injuries, there has been a few changes made to Celtic’s centre half pairing so far this season with Moritz Jenz, Stephen Welsh and Carl Starfelt all appearing alongside the 24-year old.
He is likely one of Ange Postecoglou’s first picks whenever the Aussie sits down to select his side and Hutton believes that it will take something special to shift Carter-Vickers from the team.
“I always think teams have that one centre-back that plays all the time,” said Alan Hutton speaking to Football Insider.
“It’s definitely a position where it’s not as physically demanding as others. That’s not to say it’s easy, not by any stretch of the imagination. But you always want that solid base there and he seems to be that player for Ange so it’s probably him plus one.
“It’s up to the two to fight it out. But, like anybody, if you have a dip in form or whatever, you’ve got that room within the squad to rotate. I think Ange is probably happy with that at this moment in time.“
In the coming weeks it will be interesting to see whether there is nay further changes made to Celtic’s defence.
After the return of Carl Starfelt to the squad many would have expected the Swede to retain his place at the back but that might be difficult due to the form of Moritz Jenz.

Although full focus will be on Celtic’s next match against Dundee United, there may be an inclination to think about players for the derby game at the beginning of September.
The only thing that is certain is barring any injury, Cameron Carter-Vickers will likely be a stick on.
