Before Wednesday’s pre-season match against Yokohama Marinos, Celtic quietly showed off some new Adidas training gear. Even though the match didn’t go our way, ending in a 6-4 defeat, the new gear was a definite win.
The new Adidas stuff coming out with the third kit looks pretty sharp. It’s mostly dark green, with lighter green on the sleeves. It’s a nice, clean look that fits right in with the rest of the training gear we’ve seen since Adidas started making our kits.
What’s great about this gear is that it’s not just for training. It’s comfortable enough for the players during practice but stylish enough for fans to wear any day of the week.
That’s one of the things we’ve really liked about having Adidas on board – they’ve really nailed down the training gear year after year.
The third kit that this gear goes with is pretty cool, too. It’s inspired by the bright lights of Glasgow’s music scene, with a design that looks like sound waves.
All in all, the new Adidas gear is a solid addition to the collection. It’s another example of why the Celtic-Adidas partnership has been so good for us – despite the new home shirt dividing opinion.
See the new training top below, which isn’t available yet, but will be in the coming weeks.
