Celtic Owe Cardiff City Fans an Apology

Cardiff City appointed their new manager Neil Warnock last week after parting with Paul Trollope and the new bluebirds boss pointed in Celtic’s direction when asked about why he’s back in football.

The marmite manager who was last seen as Rotherham manager last season has been without a club since the summer and has now took the Cardiff job in part to what he seen during Celtic’s passion during the recent Champions League game with Manchester City.

Speaking to Talk Sport he spoke about how the game influenced him.

“What whetted my appetite [to return] was the Celtic-Manchester City game,”

“I was jumping up near the end. I was really proud that night with the passion they gave. That is what I missed in football.

“I love that passion when players give everything, even if the results don’t go right. That is what I missed and I am really looking forward to the challenge”

Warnock is a polarising character but he has won promotion in the football league seven times in his managerial career and while our headline is tongue in cheek, the Cardiff fans will be hoping he can make it number eight.
