Former SFA Official Calls For Lifetime Gers Coach Ban

Former SFA whistler Steve Conroy believes Rangers Women’s coach Craig McPherson should ‘face the full consequences’ for his pathetic and unprovoked actions at Broadwood on Monday evening.

The FIRST EVER Women’s Glasgow Derby aired by Sky Sports to a broad audience was tainted by the actions of the idiotic McPherson, who attempted to provoke Celtic manager Fran Alonso after the game by physically butting heads with Fran from behind.

The game was a spectacle, and the match’s end made it a magic moment for Celtic and women’s football. The drama of a 99th-minute equaliser with the last kick of the ball is something that can really get momentum behind the women’s game in this country.

Instead, today, we’re talking about McPherson’s quite inexplicable post-match outburst.

Conroy, who hosts a Referee podcast, claimed a lifetime ban from the game is the only adequate response to the scenes we witnessed after the game.

Celtic have released a statement since the incident, and we’re yet to get anything outward from the Ibrox club.
