CeltsAreHere reported on Wednesday evening the bizarre amount of stewards who made their to the pitch side area just before full time.
Celtic were just wrapping up a 3-0 victory against Livingston when the inordinate amount of stewards began to filter out. It was incredibly noticeable with many fans distracted from the action.
Given it was a low profile game, many fans were rightfully miffed about what was happening.
We got in touch with Celtic who have since come back to us. The club have put this down to human error with someone in charge of security reading the track detail wrong before sending out too many stewards via Gate one.
The stewards looked as confused as the fans once they began to make their way around the track. Looking at each other and some retreating back up the touchline.
The bottom line is this isn’t a new security measure and it’s not something we’ll see going forward.
