Yuki Kobayashi is set to continue his stay at the club, despite earlier speculations about a potential loan move.

Initially, it appeared that Kobayashi might leave Celtic on loan during the summer, but an injury thwarted these plans.
Adding to the narrative was the interest shown by Celtic’s former coach, Harry Kwewll, who recently took up the managerial position at Yokohama F. Marinos and was reportedly keen on bringing Kobayashi to the J1 League side.
Despite not having made a competitive appearance under Brendan Rodgers, Kobayashi’s situation at Celtic has taken a turn, with Record Sport reporting that the defender, an Ange Postecoglou signing, will remain with the club. This decision comes a year after Kobayashi joined Celtic.
It’s not been revealed why the defender looks set to stay, but with Lagerbielke set for a loan exit, Rodgers could be keen to have Yuki Kobayashi as an emergency back up.
