Giorgos Giakoumakis scored his sixth goal for Atlanta since joining in February and continues to shine in the MLS despite struggling with injury.
The former Celtic striker moved on from the Scottish Champions after just 18 months when the two parties couldn’t come to an agreement over a new contract.
Giakoumakis was instrumental in helping secure Ange’s first title. When Kyogo went out injured halfway through the season, the Greek striker picked up the baton and ran with it.
He’s become a fan favourite with Atlanta FC already and is showing his scoring touch.
The latest goal is a cracker and it’s a goal he’s scored coming off the bench because he was coming back from injury and what a goal it was! It prompted the Atlanta social media page to post ‘You’ve got to be Kidding’

The Greek striker is due a league winners medal for his part in the first portion of the season. Funnily enough, he will soon have more medals than the Ibrox captain James Tavernier having only spent 18 months in Glasgow.
