Young Celtic midfielder Barry Coffey played a crucial role in Cork City’s 4-0 win over rivals Cobh Ramblers.
The Irishman recently completed a loan move to Cork City and looked to have made an immediate impact on just his third appearance for his new side.

On Friday evening, the 20-year old grabbed a double, scoring his first two goals for his new side as they romped to an emphatic victory and their first two wins in a row of the season.

Last campaign, Coffey also spent the last six months on loan in Northern Ireland with Cliftonville as they made a late run for the UEFA Conference Qualifying spots.
After last night’s performance, he equalled the number of goals scored with Cliftonville over 17 games in the 2020/21 season.
Coffey featured a couple of times for Ange Postecoglou during pre-season, so with this loan spell, he will be looking to gain some more first-team experience over in his homeland.
