Celtic have a lot of talent in the reserve and developmental squads. The players bubbling under the surface of the first team are all looking to catch Neil Lennon’s attention as the season goes on.

Some are on the cusp. Others seem further away from being considered first-team squad players.

One man who might see the writing on the wall at Celtic is Ryan Mullen. The goalkeeper has rejected a new Celtic deal according to Football Insider and is now weighing up his options.

The same report claims Mullen is being courted by a couple of clubs down south.

Ryan’s contract is up in the summer and will be free to move on.

Celtic haven’t got a great record of bringing through goalkeepers. They have found great success in the transfer market over the years in Artur Boruc, Fraser Forster and Craig Gordon, all top goalkeepers.

The player could see a better opportunity away from Celtic.
