IBROX Fans don’t need much to lose the head these days but it seems former Celtic defender and assistant manager Johan Mjallby has got their backs up this weekend after being interviews at a match for cancer.

The big defender was at Celtic Park to help raise money for Stan Petrov’s cancer charity and he was, of course, asked about the team’s fortunes right now and where they could go under Brendan Rodgers.

When asked if he could see Celtic in another European final like Martin O’Neill’s side back in the day he answered the question with a – ‘why not?’.

What’s got their fans backs up so much is Chris Sutton tearing into Kyle Lafferty for saying the Ibrox side are confident of winning the league even after being taught a footballing lesson last Sunday and now he’s not tearing into Mjallby for comments about a Euro final.

It makes sense they can’t see the difference between a former player bigging up his old side and a guy that’s in the trenches who was just embarrassed by his own display against Celtic making comments about winning anything.

There is nobody within the current Celtic camp boasting about potentially getting to the Europa League final.

Nonetheless, they have spread their bile on social media again with one fan calling Chris Sutton a ‘bitter c***’.

They seem a bit paranoid.
