Yokohama Confirm Daizen Maeda Celtic Deal to Supporters

It was never in doubt, but Yokohama Marino’s have posted today Daizen Maeda’s loan deal to Celtic will imminently turn into a permanent move.

The Japanese star came through the door at the same time as Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi. The two midfielders were permanent deals but Daizen was a loan with an obligation to buy. No real explanation was given for the move to be structured like it has been but Maeda has only been a loan player for Celtic up until now.

The striker’s full and permanent registration will be passed over to Celtic in the coming days and Daizen will take his place as full time Celtic star.

Daizen has optimised Ange Ball and the way the manager wants to play. He has endless reserves of energy and defends from the front. The game at Ibrox a perfect example of what Daizen can do. The player had no real attacking metrics for the game but the number of pressures he put on The srangers defenders and pushed the whole Ibrox team back was phenomenal.

When the frontman’s not pressing and chasing down the ball from defender’s Daizen can also contribute greatly to the attacking side of the game – assisting and scoring. He’s been a brilliant player for Celtic and will no doubt bring us more great moments next term.
