Celtic’s American bhoy Andrew Gutman looks like he’s loving life as he gets to pull on the Hoops in pre-season. The man who was signed by Brendan Rodgers then immediately loaned out Charlotte back in the US has been enjoying time bonding with his Celtic teammates as they take part in the Austria and Switzerland tour.

Although not confirmed, Gutman looks like he is only there for a short period of time before heading back out on loan to Charlotte. Manny Perez, who is on a similar deal to Gutman was confirmed to be joining up with the club before heading back in July. Manny suffered a foot injury which would prevent him from getting any game time for Celtic this preseason and has since flown back to the US.

For Gutman, it’s all about taking the opportunity and showing new Celtic manager Neil Lennon what he can offer. It’s unclear how long Gutman and Perez’ loan moves will last and having reached out to the club several times we are still none the wiser if it’s a work permit issue stopping either or both bhoys from becoming fully fledged members of the first team Celtic squad.

At the moment, Gutman is just happy to be here and is enjoying life.
