‘Wish I Came Now’ – Shane Duffy Glasgow Derby Tweet Surfaces

SHANE DUFFY looks all set to become a Celtic player during the international break.

The Irishman has been a fan of the club since he was a bhoy, forging his career down south, the defender now has the opportunity to be part of a history-making squad.

The news that he’s been in talks with Celtic have been welcomed by the majority of the support. Twitter has thrown up a two-year-old tweet from the defender speaking to his mate after Celtic won 3-2 in the Glasgow Derby.

The tweet says ‘Doesn’t get any better’ after Odsonne Edouard came on as a second half substitute and won the game for Celtic who were reduced to ten men. It was the final game Celtic had their full allocation.

Shane, envious of watching from afar, admitted at the time he wished he’d made it to the game.

The defender has been undergoing preseason with Brighton but an international break with Ireland should be able to get him sharp enough to be in contention for a start when Celtic return later this month.
