Winter is Coming – Celtic Braced for Hectic Schedule

Since Brendan Rodgers took the helm at Paradise, it has been nothing but one high after the other. Rodgers and his squad have got used to congested fixtures, but the next six weeks fixture list is off the wall.

It all starts with Ross County and from there, its 2 to 3 games a week. The biggest break the players will get between now and the 30th of December will be five days. The games come thick and fast and the Celts will play a game nearly every three days. This is the price of success and the price of still fighting in all competitions entered.

The good news is the Celtic squad is back to a clean bill of health bar one or two players. Most of the team will be rested after the international break apart from maybe Gamboa, Lustig and Rogic.

This hectic schedule will finish up with a game at paradise against the new Rangers. Then everyone will get much earned Christmas break with nearly 25 days off.

Some fans need to be aware that fielding the strongest team for the next six weeks is not realistic. The odd 1-1 draw isn’t the end of the world and the next six weeks will all be about the squad.
