It was one of the best moments of the most recent Glasgow Derby, not for the action on the park, but for what happened in the stands.

As Rangers blasted out Tina Turner’s Simply the Best at Ibrox, Celtic fans in the away end responded in kind, belting out the lyrics with full voice.
Champions of Scotland, chasing a treble, and boasting 121 major honours — it was as bold a response as you could script. And with the title in the bag, some supporters are now wondering whether Celtic will lean into that same energy when they bring the curtain down on the league campaign at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Celtic have a prime opportunity to have a brilliant dig at Rangers. Play Simply the Best as the trophy is paraded — a tongue-in-cheek jibe at a club that have been eclipsed time and time again on the pitch and in the honours list.
With Celtic having now equalled Rangers’ tally of 55 league titles (both clubs), it would make the day, playing that tune.
Only time will tell if Celtic are bold enough to play it, but hopefully they are.
It’s set to be a smashing day in the east end of Glasgow, you could say, simply the best day.
