Ange Postecoglou surprised many Celtic fans on Tuesday evening by playing both Giorgos Giakoumakis and Kyogo Furuhashi in his starting line up.
Many Hoops fan had been eager to see both men in the Hoops team but it’s not likely whether this will be a continuous trend with so many other attacking players at the managers disposal.
Since Postecoglou’s arrival at Celtic last summer, the identity of the team has been pretty clear in playing a 4-3-3 formation which only accommodates one out and out striker.
There are arguments to be made for both Giakoumakis and Kyogo but it’s fantastic that dilemma exists.
With Giakoumakis getting on the scoresheet for the Scottish champions the other night against Shakhtar Donetsk we’ll start off with him.

The Greek forward has looked at his best when he’s been given a run of games with his stats showing how big a threat he can be.
During his career in Glasgow so far, the 27-year old has made 45 appearances for Celtic with 21 of those being starts. He has scored a total of 25 goals which is great numbers.
However, having missed almost the whole second part of the campaign last season Kyogo finished top goalscorer at the club with 20 goals showing he isn’t shy in finding the back of the net either.

With the standards set last season, it could be argued that neither men have hit their form for the season yet and with a physical game expected for the visit to Livingston on Sunday I’d expect Giakoumakis to be given the nod.
