Celtic fans won’t have long to wait to discover who will visit Parkhead for Flag Day, with the SPFL confirming the 2025/26 Premiership fixtures will be released on Friday, June 20 at 9am.

The new league campaign kicks off across the weekend of August 1–3, and as defending champions, Celtic will raise the league flag before their opening home match. It’s always a special occasion in the calendar, and this year’s ceremony will mark the start of Brendan Rodgers’ bid to build on a domestic double while aiming to reclaim the Scottish Cup.
The match, whoever it’s against, will likely be shown on Sky Sports.
Celtic wrapped up the title with games to spare and added the League Cup back in December, but their Hampden heartache against Aberdeen on Scottish Cup Final day left a slight sting to an otherwise successful campaign.
A summer rebuild is already in motion. Kieran Tierney will return to the club in July, while Rodgers has made no secret of his desire to freshen up the squad further. With European football returning to Parkhead in the form of the Champions League, early-season momentum will be key.
Flag Day fixtures always generate excitement, and this year’s will be no different. Whether it’s a fellow top-six side or a newly promoted outfit like Livi or Falkirk, fans will pack the stands to celebrate last season’s achievements and get an early glimpse of the side looking to deliver even more.
The road to another title defence will soon be mapped out, and it all begins with the fixture drop on June 20.
