What Team Changes Can Rodgers Afford To Make?

It’s no secret that Celtic have not been firing on all cylinders so far this season. Team selections over the past few weeks suggest that Brendan Rodgers is still trying to work out his best formation and with what players.

Rodgers has not been afraid to tinker with his starting 11 and has sometimes been accused of making too many changes at once. It’s a fine balance and the Celtic manager has a lot of fine tuning to do in order to provide the Celtic team fans have watched over the last couple of seasons.

Watching Celtic fall apart in Austria the other night it’s become too easy to blame defenders. Yes, it’s true they are at fault for goals but Rodgers has been soaked in bad luck with defenders and injuries over the past month. The midfield was also overrun in the second half. It would be nice to see Lewis Morgan with a start against St Johnstone. He could replace either McGregor or Ntcham.

The Celtic gaffer has already confirmed Scott Brown will not feature tomorrow. You’d imagine Mulumbu is the straight swap for Brown. Tom Rogic is back for selection after injury which will be a huge attacking boost.

Brendan Rodgers spoke this week about building some consistency with performances, after that game tomorrow, domestic action will end for two weeks for international games.
