What Kieran Tierney Said About Celtic Return Last Year

Speculation has been gathering recently over a potential return to Celtic for Kieran Tierney.

The left back came through the academy at the club before departing in 2019 for Arsenal in a record breaking move.

In recent times, however, Tierney has fell out of favour at the Emirates and thus links to his boyhood club have surfaced.

Currently, a move would seem rather unrealistic although comments the player made last year over a potential return will provide fans with encouragement.

Tierney said (Football Scotland):

“I think when a player who loves the club leaves there’s always that, ‘what if he comes back’ and you can’t rule anything out.

“I’m always going to love Celtic.

“I’m always going to support Celtic so you never know in football, you genuinely don’t.”

It is fair to say that all Celtic fans would be right behind a return of Kieran Tierney to the club.

His addition to the current squad would be most welcome although at the minute, a move seems rather unlikely due to predominantly financial issues.
