The ‘keeper came on at the break and was impressive in his performance, proving more than comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Although it is early days, the 22-year-old already looks to be a shrewd signing from Celtic who will seamlessly take the goalkeeping reigns off Kasper Schmeichel in a year or two.

Sinisalo joined the Scottish champions from Aston Villa for £1m. He was with the English Premier League outfit since the age of 16.

The Finn enjoyed a few loan spells away from Birmingham before deciding to leave permanently this summer. Upon doing so, he sought some advice from Villa skipper John McGinn.

Sinisalo revealed that the Scotland midfielder urged him to join Celtic.

“I spoke to him a lot about moving up to Scotland”, he said (RecordSport).

“John said I should jump at this chance. He gave us a little bit of advice, which I won’t tell!”

As pre-season continues, we will likely see more of Sinisalo.

Scott Bain started versus DC but midweek against Man City in North Carolina, the Finland stopper might well get the nod for the first time.
