Patryk Klimala’s time at Celtic never quite worked out after his £3.5 million move in January 2020, but after bouncing around a few clubs in MLS and Europe, he has finally found his feet in Australia.

Now playing for Sydney FC on loan from Slask Wroclaw, Klimala has been tearing it up in the A-League and beyond. The Polish forward has eight league goals to his name and has been just as prolific in continental competition, scoring six times in the AFC Champions League 2, adding a wonderful strike to that collection this morning.
His most recent strike came in Sydney FC’s win over Korean side Jeonbuk, securing a place in the semi-finals of the competition. Alongside his goals, he has also contributed five assists across all competitions this season.

His form has been so good that Klimala has hinted at turning his loan deal into a permanent transfer, as he looks to help Sydney FC secure their first major Asian silverware. [The Nightly]
After struggling to make an impact at Celtic and enduring a few difficult years, the 25-year-old finally seems to have found a club and a league where he can thrive.
He’s finally getting rocking, just not at Celtic like the initial plan.
