Some Celtic fans couldn’t help but notice that two of their former star players were sitting just a few feet away from each other in Norwich today – watching the game between the Canaries and Arsenal as unused substitutes.
Kieran Tierney and Patrick Roberts bromance blossomed at Celtic where the pair became inseparable while Roberts spend two and a half years on loan at the club.
Since then, Roberts has had a stint in La Liga and is now struggling for game time with Norwich.
Kieran Tierney made the jump from Celtic in a deal which broke Celtic’s transfer record. Due to an infinite injury, the defender’s impact on his new side has been minimal but with the manager who brought him to the club now out the door, he spent the day sitting on the bench under caretaker and former Celt Freddy Ljungberg.
Some Celtic fans reacted to seeing both sitting on the bench live on Sky today.

Kieran Tierney and Patrick Roberts, two young players recently starring in the Champions League for @CelticFC Today, unused subs in #NORARS Grass isn't always greener. Shame to see young talent stagnate.

There’s no doubt they both posses great talent but right now both need to prove themselves all over again.
It’s only a matter of time before we see Kieran Tierney come good.
