BRENDAN RODGERS has vented a bit after learning John McGinn could be Set to sign for Aston Villa.
The Irishman has admitted the club ave yet to replace two key players in Armstrong and Roberts which would be the ‘bare minimum’ with regards to transfers.

So far the Celtic bird have only landed Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal – although it broke Celtic’s transfer record the fee was cushioned by the large price received for Armstrong.
The club are heading into the third Champions League qualifying round, still waiting on new faces and the news John McGinn is in England to thrash out of deal with Aston Villa hasn’t gone down well with the manager.
“He’s a player from a few months back I was really interested in. When you don’t complete a deal it opens the door for other teams… we’ve lost players, the bare minimum is to replace them
“We lost Stuart Armstrong and haven’t got a replacement yet. Patrick Roberts has gone out and we haven’t got a replacement yet…our job this year was pretty straight forward in terms of bringing players in. We only wanted quality.”
