Well Deserved: Matt O’Riley Starts for Denmark, First Cap

Celtic star Matt O’Riley’s hard work has paid off as he makes his first team squad international debut for Denmark on Monday evening.

The talismanic midfielder has been arguably Celtic’s best performer this season prompting for many to call for his inclusion in the Danish national setup.

O’Riley was called up late but not will get his first cap as he looks to gatecrash Denmark’s squad for the Euro’s next summer.

Ange Postecoglou signed Matt from MK Dons almost two years ago and he’s been fantastic for the club on the whole.

He has been showing he can be effective in Europe and domestically. His assist against Atletico Madrid for Kyogo still being replayed on social media.

We wish Matt all the best for his debut and hope he comes through the game unscathed and ready to go for the Motherwell game on Saturday. The bhoys are looking to finish the year strong with a hectic schedule between now and New Year’s Eve.
