Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn appears to have dropped down Serie A side Como’s transfer shortlist, with the Italian club closing in on the signing of AZ Alkmaar’s Jayden Addai.

Kuhn had emerged as a target for Cesc Fabregas’ side following an impressive campaign at Parkhead, but Como are prioritising Addai in their bid to bolster their wide options.
A €14million deal has been verbally agreed for the Dutch winger, who is now expected in Italy to undergo a medical ahead of his move.
Addai, a right-sided attacker like Kuhn, becomes the second wide option poised to join the ambitious club, with Como having already struck a deal worth €28million for Real Betis youngster Jesus Rodriguez, who primarily operates from the left.
While negotiations with Celtic for Kuhn did take place, it’s reported there was no agreement on the transfer fee. The Hoops are believed to be holding out for upwards of £14.9million, a figure that may have prompted Como to explore other targets.
While Como were interested in the Celtic winger, Fabrizio Romano’s Wednesday morning update on Addai puts a move for Kuhn on the back burner, you’d imagine.

RB Leipzig remain interested in the German, but with one suitor stepping aside, the situation surrounding Kuhn’s future may now cool unless Leipzig or another club firm up their interest.
