Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers continued to emphasise the Hoops’ attacking style of play.
Despite criticism following their 7-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in Germany for being too open, Rodgers has confirmed he won’t change how Celtic play, regardless of the opposition.
The Irishman continued to reiterate his happiness with the style of play in this afternoon’s 2-1 win over Ross County, with the second-half in particular catching his eye.
Rodgers said: (BBC Scotland), “We showed a great resilience and mentality in the second half.
“First half, there wasn’t a lot happening, we had a lot of the ball but it was very slow, too passive, no real tempo in it. We looked like we wanted an easy game and that’s not what this team’s about.
“Second half, we were very good, especially with the introduction of players coming in to give us that energy. We deserved to win the game but we want to win it in the best way, and first half we didn’t quite do that.
“Last weekend, St Johnstone was a tough game but our energy was good right the way through.
“We learnt today that there are no easy games, especially on the back of a European tie.”

The Irishman’s management certainly paid off with a late win at a tough venue against County.
The first-half was certainly below standard; however, with substitutions in the second-half, Rodgers managed to change the course of the game, with his attacking, high-pressing football paying off this time.
Celtic’s style of play will likely come under question again in the Champions League this season; however, today it did not, and domestically it has proven time and time again to be a winning formula in Scotland.
