Brendan Rodgers was critical of Celtic after the Hoops let a 2-0 lead slip at half-time in a frustrating result.
Celtic were deserving of their lead at half-time; however, a disastrous 15-minute spell allowed Aberdeen to level the game, with the visitors even having a third goal ruled out for handball during this shocking period.
Rodgers said: (BBC Sportsound), “We should win the game today, there is no doubt about that. We just could not find the killer instinct.
“I think it was 32 shots. A mixture of some really good defending and great saves from the goalkeepers meant we could not find the winner.”
The Irishman will certainly not be happy with what he witnessed during that particular spell of the game.
Mistakes from Liam Scales, who failed to read Ester Sokler’s run behind him, and Daizen Maeda whose misplaced pass for Aberdeen’s equaliser, contributed to a draw that, in all honesty, was unnecessary and more a result of Celtic’s errors than Aberdeen’s brilliance.

Aberdeen have shown they are clinical in front of goal, something that can’t be said for Celtic, who were certainly wasteful with 32 shots and only seven on target.
This tells a story that the Hoops were not at their clinical best, and it is spot on for Rodgers to point this out.
He will likely focus on this in training ahead of their match against Atalanta in Italy midweek.
