‘We confirm we’ve received an official offer from Celtic’ – Club Director Takes Charge of Potential Parkhead Transfer

Dunajska Streda have confirmed in the past 24 hours that talks are ongoing with Celtic as the bhoys look to secure a deal for their top goal scorer Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

Rodgers told Celtic fans he wanted to bring in two strikers this January window and if Celtic can come to a quick agreement with the Slovakian club, they could have two in before the end of the week.

Timothy Weah looks set to join on-loan from PSG after the paperwork is sorted, and now if a fee can be agreed it looks likely Bayo could join Weah and the rest of the Celtic squad in Dubai for their winter training camp.

Dunajska Streda’s sporting director Jan Van Daele told the Daily Mail:  “We confirm we’ve received an official offer from Celtic of which we acknowledged receipt.

“We plan to start the negotiation process in due course.”

The bhoys are not in action again until the 19th January when they take on Airdrie in the Scottish Cup.

Brendan Rodgers wants the bulk of his transfer deals done as early as possible so they can bed into his side well during the break.
