Watch: What A First Touch, Turn & Finish From Mikey Johnston

The Celtic team that took to the field today might have been short of a few first-team regulars. Mikey Johnston showed Wednesday night he knows where the goals are. Celtic could have had a bag full of goals in the first 45 minutes but were denied by the Dundee keeper and the rub of the green.

It was beginning to look like one of those days, chance after chance went begging. The biggest positives for Celtic so far this season has been the emergence of some youth players after a poor summer transfer window. Ryan Christie made himself one of the first names on Brendan Rodgers team sheet in recent weeks before he picked up an injury.

With a shortage of strikers, Celtic fans might have been wondering where the goals were going to come from but another Celtic Academy player has stepped up to the plate. Young Johnston could have walked off at halftime with a hat-trick. Looking at his composure for this finish he could be still in for the match ball.
