SKY SPORTS has delivered a Tuesday afternoon update on Brendan Rodgers potential return to Celtic.
The broadcaster have reiterated that talks have taken place between the two parties with more talks planned.
However, they claim Celtic and Rodgers are in no rush and any announcement on the vacant managerial position could still be some time away.
Dermot Desmond arrived in Glasgow on Tuesday morning, suggesting a deal could be near. Celtic held talks with Rodgers on Saturday in Mallorca and the Irishman has been opened to a return.
Brennan’s time at Leicester came to an end in April. The club relegated in May. Lack of investment to kick on under Brendan Rodgers proved fatal. However, the manager’s recruitment can’t be described as a success over the piece.
Celtic have found themselves in a managerial hunt this summer when they expected to continue with Ange Postecoglou. However, the treble winning manager decided to take up an offer from Tottenham to try his hand in the EPL.
Sky Sports also confirm Enzo Maresca is still in the frame, should Rodgers talks stall or come to an end without an agreement.
