Celtic winger Jota bagged a goal and assist alike in last Saturday’s Glasgow derby victory which helped Ange Postecoglou and his men go 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Portuguese captured the imagination with this performance however before the game, his name was already being sung by 60,000 supporters who were led by singer Ellie Dixon.
Dixon rose to prominence within the Celtic support after her acoustic version of the iconic chant ‘Jota On The Wing’ went viral after it was aired on the radio.
Last weekend, Dixon got to play the hit in front of a raucous Celtic Park before the Glasgow derby and has shared her journey to eminence on social media.
In a minute long video on Twitter, Dixon showed how she went from playing the tune on her bed to opening Celtic’s biggest derby match:

It is fair to say that once ‘Jota On The Wing’ gets in your head, it is hard to get it out.
