Karamoko Dembele ended speculation about where he would end up signing his first professional contract with the player having no obligation to stay with the club before the age of 16.

However, the midfielder penned a three-year deal yesterday which sees him within touching distance of a first-team place in the coming months and years when he turns 16.

Dembele has been promoted to the developmental squad but can only play sparingly for them at present until his 16th Birthday. On the two outings he has had in cup competitions, the player has been sensational; scoring on both occasions and assisting too.

It’s only a matter of time before Celtic fans get a glimpse of the tricky midfielder at Celtic Park.
