CELTIC blew St Mirren away on Wednesday night as the bhoys got off to a winning start in the SPFL for 2019.
One game in and Celtic have distanced themselves from their Glasgow rivals who had a shocking night at Rugby Park.
Goals from Oli Burke, Scott Sinclair and Timo Weah gave Celtic all three points, but it really was the manner of the victory which was so pleasing – especially when you consider how many Celtic players are missing at the moment.
Rodgers started with Burke up front, and it definitely paid off for the Irishman who seen his new loan signing grab a brace. Burke looks hungry to impress, direct in his play and intelligent on the ball. Timo Weah came off the bench again to grab a goal and stake his own place for a start against Hamilton on Saturday.
