Watch: Callum McGregor’s Unseen Message To Celtic Players Ahead Of Flag Day

Celtic defeated Ross County by four goals to two on Saturday afternoon. Goals from Kyogo, Matt O’Riley and David Turnbull were enough for the Bhoys to take home all three points and recently, a pre-match message from Callum McGregor to the Hoops’ squad has surfaced.

In a behind the scenes video that was posted on Celtic’s official Twitter account, captain McGregor could be heard demanding his teammates get the match off to a good start. He said: “Make sure we get the crowd involved in the game early, quick start, aggressive, get the shot, get the cross, get the whole place buzzing early doors”. The video can be viewed below:

In spite of McGregor’s comments, Celtic didn’t start the match off in the greatest manner. Ross County played well in the very early stages although the Bhoys found a breakthrough on 17 minutes thanks to David Turnbull’s penalty. They then dominated for the remainder of the 90, echoing their captain’s comments on a few occasions.

Throughout the match the champions didn’t play the most enticing football but they did get the crowd aroused at certain points. Supporters will be hoping to see more of this entrancing play as the season transpires and for their captain to continually be a prime role model for the squad.
