The victory extends the Hoops’ lead to six points at the top of the table with just two games remaining, meaning only a point is needed on Wednesday night to clinch the championship.

The match saw Celtic dominate the first half, with Matt O’Riley breaking the deadlock at the 35-minute mark following a superb setup by Callum McGregor, a mirror image to Forrest and Amstrong’s link up in 2017.

The lead doubled shortly after due to an own goal by Rangers’ John Lundstram, caused by a sharp cutback from Daizen Maeda that Lundstram inadvertently turned into his own net.

The Japanese winger’s celebrations were captured in Celtic’s unique angle video, prominently featuring Maeda’s exuberant leap into the crowd following the own goal.

He was shown a a yellow card for his celebrations, but claimed he was oblivious to the rule that got him the booking.
