For much of the season, Celtic have been crying out for a penalty taker, and the Irishman is certainly that man.

Having joined on transfer deadline day, Idah’s impact has been instantaneous for Celtic, and tonight he has taken his chance to prove himself despite doubts over his goalscoring record at Norwich City.

7th February 2024; Easter Road, Edinburgh, Scotland: Scottish Premiership Football, Hibernian versus Celtic; Adam Idah of Celtic scores from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 to Celtic in the 9th minute

With Celtic in the midst of a title race, Idah’s goals are already proving vital to the cause. To have such a calm player from the spot will undoubtedly prove crucial in retaining the Scottish Premiership title.

Idah ultimately carried Celtic victory and if the Bhoys can improve their performances the club has a striker to rely on the most pressured situations.
