We reported late on Thursday evening that Craig Gordon had become a surprise transfer target of Premiership side St Mirren.

The goalkeeper is currently out of contract at Celtic but the club have not made any sort of announcement whether Gordon will be staying or going.

Right now, Gordon is free to sign for any club he wishes and St Mirren are trying their luck.

Upon hearing the news of Saints making a play for the Celtic treble treble star, many supporters from across the league reacted.

A Hearts fan in disbelief, probably because many believed or still believe Gordon will end back up at Tynecastle. Others think it’s bold and a Celtic fan chimed in with how big a signing that would be for St Mirren, even at Gordon’s age.

Celtic might be waiting to see what happens with Fraser Forster and Southampton before they make a final decision on Gordon’s future.
