We love a stat at Celtsarehere.com, and the guys over at whoscored.com have released former Celtic defender, Virgil van Dijk’s stats since joining up with Southampton in the summer.
Ten Premier League games into the season, the centre-back’s WhoScored rating (7.63) ranks among the top 10 players in England’s top tier and is the best of all Southampton stars to make at least two league starts this term.
His performances will be no surprise to the Celtic fans who watched him the two season’s previous. Calm and assured in possession and not a bad strike on him either.
The player can hit the very top of the game if he continues to develop.
