HEARTS have decided not to appeal the red card issued to Alex Cochrane after he was given his marching orders when Celtic won the league in the capital on Sunday. [Football Scotland]

Referee Nick Walsh had initially awarded a yellow card for Cochrane‘s challenge on Daizen Maeda, before being asked to review the incident by VAR Willie Collum.
After a second look, Walsh awarded a red card.
The decision to not appeal means Cochrane will be forced to serve a two–game suspension and will miss the upcoming away fixture against St Mirren, and the away trip to Rangers on May 24.
Manager Steven Naismith had originally voiced his disagreement with the red card, claiming it was not a clear and obvious error. Despite this, Hearts have chosen to accept the referee‘s ruling.
It was a red card, and there’s not really a debate to be had. It would be guaranteed to fail if Hearts had appealed it.
