Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has reacted to his side’s 0-0 draw ahead of Celtic’s trip to the Allianz tomorrow night.
With Bayern in action against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, they had just two shots in the game and none on target—a surprising statistic given the two goals they scored at Celtic Park on Wednesday.

Leverkusen had the bulk of possession and more shots in the game; however, they were unable to secure a win, meaning Bayern remain eight points clear of Xabi Alonso’s side, who sit second in the Bundesliga.
With Leverkusen doing well to nullify Bayern’s attacking threat, Kompany was spiky in his reaction to the draw, with the game against Celtic tomorrow night very much on his mind.
Kompany said: (Bayern Munich), “If Leverkusen wants to press then they can press. If they want to defend deep then they can defend deep.
“I said before the first game, the second game and now the third game and that’s what they decided today and again we did what we did because I know we can talk about this game now and continue to make it big for the next two weeks.
“But important for me is we have scored almost 100 goals so far. We have got more and more shots always fewer shots against us always played dominant today we take this point we defended well and this comes after a huge fight in Glasgow and we have to be ready again on Tuesday.”

It wasn’t the ideal game away from home against Leverkusen, the current Bundesliga champions, ahead of facing Celtic. Meanwhile, the Hoops won 3-0 against Dundee United at Celtic Park on Saturday while resting five players.
Bayern can be beaten and nullified. In the last 20 minutes of the game at Celtic Park, Celtic were on top—that’s the level and intensity needed to win tomorrow night in Munich.
Celtic will need to reach a new level if they are to progress to the next round. However, with five players vying for three positions in the front line, Rodgers has options to cause Bayern problems.
The game at the Allianz won’t define Celtic’s season; however, a win and progression to the last 16 would represent unbelievable progress under Rodgers in just a year.
