Celtic were 2-0 up at the time when Reo Hatate looked to have won his side a penalty kick. The Japanese midfielder who had already scored Celtic’s opener was hovering over the penalty spot when VAR came into play.
The referee was told by VAR to go check his original decision on the monitor before making his final decision. After a bit of deliberation, the referee overturned his original decision and gave Kilmarnock the goal kick.

The support would be incensed later in the game when the referee failed to spot a blatant foul on Greg Taylor which ultimately allowed Kilmarnock to get up the field and score.
Celtic finished the game 3-1 and put some more distance between themselves and St Mirren who aren’t due to play until Sunday.
Goals From Hatate, Palma and Taylor made it a good day out for supporters who braved the wet conditions to make it to the game.
