Celtic thrashed Aberdeen 6-0 on Sunday afternoon live on Sky Sports. The bhoys were on top form as they dismantled the dons.
Celtic were only three goals up on the 90th minute, but due to stoppages for injuries to both Kyogo and Yang, as well as a penalty VAR check, there was a massive ten minutes added at the end of the game.
Aberdeen were out on their feet and Celtic smelled blood in the water. Palma, who had been a nuisance all day was the architect as subs Turnbull and Oh got on the scoresheet.
If you were watching live on Sky you would have seen all the action with no issues. However, if you paid for a ticket to the game and you were in the seats near the front, then you might not have had the best view of all three injury time goals.
The stewards inside the ground came out very early in injury time and stayed out until the end, blocking many supporters view around the stadium.
One fan took a video of the stewards in the way as Celtic scored three goals.
Given there had been some fans getting into the pitch in the second half, it might be understandable to a point why the stewarding was more cautious.
It’s also protocol for stewards to make their way out at the end of a game, however, the protocol really hasn’t taken into account VAR and how games are being stretched out even longer. With a MINIMUM of ten minutes added to the game, the stewards should have been told to not get in the way to nearer the end of injury time. Instead, some fans had a blocked off view of three goals.
We hope Celtic take note of this and take it up with security at the games going forward.
