Video: Ronny Deila Causes Touchline Chaos After Former Celt Horror Tackle

Ronny Deila and Gary Mackay-Steven now work together at New York City FC and the former Celtic pair were involved in a flash point against San Carlos.

GMS took off down the wing and when the opposition player realised he wasn’t going to catch the former Celtic man, he jumped in with a reckless tackle that could have been a leg breaker on the night. It was right next to the touchline at the time and Ronny Deila, outraged by the tackle pushed the player which caused even more chaos at the side of the pitch.

The astonishing thing is, the player only receives a yellow card for the tackle.

Deila signed GMS for Celtic back when he was the Celtic boss and reunited with the player at New York City when he left Norway to go manage in America.

Ronny just backing up his player, not a good look for the MLS to be allowing challenges like that without proper punishment.
