Video: Postecoglou’s Former Side Adopt Familiar Celtic Song

Since his arrival in Glasgow in the summer, Ange Postecoglou has had a massive effect on Celtic Football club in many different ways. But it appears he is still having an impact, far and wide, at some of his former clubs.

The majority of Ange’s playing career, which spanned around ten years, was spent playing for South Melbourne – a club where he also started his managerial career back in 1996, which has eventually led him to Paradise.

On social media, Melbourne has been keen to mention their connections with Ange, opening themselves up to the Celtic support, who, in usual fashion, have also shown their support for the Celtic manager’s former club.

Ange appears to be still having an impact on his first club, though, with the latest video footage showing another link between ourselves and South Melbourne.

After a 3-2 victory, players are seen in the changing room, breaking into a familiar song, which turns out to be a rendition of ‘The Celtic Song’ heard on a regular basis as the Hoops come out of the tunnel at Paradise.

It just goes to show the type of person/character Ange is, with the small impacts that he is having on his former club, who are clearly keeping an eye on Celtic and his progress over in Glasgow.

You would have to think there is potential plans or ideas to have a pre-season tour over in Ange’s homeland, with supporters likely to turn out in their numbers for all sorts of different clubs, in order to catch a glimpse of Postecoglou in action once again.
