Celtic transfer target Mathias Kvistgaarden has seemingly said goodbye to the Brøndby support following their 3-2 win over AGF yesterday away from home, finishing the Danish Superliga season in third place.
Brøndby Director of Football Benjamin Schmedes has opened the door to a potential exit for the Danish forward in what appears to be a message to Celtic and other interested clubs: make an appropriate offer, and Brøndby will let him go this summer.

He said: (Tipsbladet) “We will look at it when there is something on the table that we can talk about. We don’t have that right now, so we are not saying goodbye to him yet. We will sit down and look at the season, and then we will see what the transfer window brings. That applies to Mathias and all the other players.
“He is an interesting player for the five major leagues. It is not without reason that he was named player of the year, and there are many things that bigger clubs in the five major leagues could be interested in. I will answer the phone when they call, and then we will see.”
With Kvistgaarden finishing the league season with 17 goals and five assists in 29 appearances, he’s had yet another impressive campaign in his homeland — only adding to Celtic’s interest, following his continued development since the Hoops’ interest began around two years ago.
Brøndby supporters are delighted with everything Kvistgaarden has given the club — arguably staying longer than he had to and giving them everything over the past couple of years.

It will be interesting to see if Celtic go back in for Kvistgaarden this summer, with Brøndby Director of Football Benjamin Schmedes name-dropping clubs from Europe’s top five leagues.
Celtic are set to face stiff competition; however, with the clear lack of depth up top following Kyogo’s departure, it’s time to reinvest long-term in a proven goal scorer like Kvistgaarden.
