Video: Luis Palma Makes Positive Celtic Change

Celtic’s 4-1 triumph over Hibernian at Parkhead on Wednesday was a dominant performance. Goals from Oh (x2), O’Riley and Palma sealed the victory.

One pleasing aspect of the game was Celtic managing to score the penalty they were given. After Alistair Johnston was brought down and a lengthy VAR check ensued, Palma stepped up to take the spot kick, ten days after he missed in the draw against Motherwell.

Previously, the 23-year-old faced criticism for his elaborate run-up during the penalty. However, in the latest game, Palma demonstrated a significant change in his technique. Opting for a direct and powerful approach, he confidently stepped up to the spot and decisively struck the ball into the net. This successful penalty marked a stark contrast to his previous attempt.

Beyond just scoring, the Celtic star’s overall contribution to the team was undeniable. His assist for Matt O’Riley’s header further solidified his status as a versatile player capable of both creating and finishing chances.

The Honduran winger’s performance was a clear demonstration of his growing confidence and importance within the team. Rather than dwelling on past mistakes, he showcased his ability to adapt and improve, attributes that are essential for any player at Celtic.

The bhoys are off to Rugby Park next where they will face a stubborn Kilmarnock side. If we do get a penalty, we know who’s taking it!
