Celtic loanee Luis Palma was on the scoresheet for Lech Poznań on Sunday, heading home the equaliser in a 2-1 comeback win over Widzew Łódź in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
Palma, who joined Lech on a season-long loan earlier this summer, made a decisive impact just when his side needed it. With Lech trailing, the Honduras international arrived in the box and guided a precise header past the goalkeeper to level the score.
The 25-year-old winger left Celtic in search of regular first-team football, with Brendan Rodgers allowing him to move on after a mixed debut campaign in Glasgow.
The Polish side hold an option to make the loan permanent, and Palma’s latest display will only strengthen his case to remain in Poznań long-term.

Celtic fans saw flashes of Palma’s quality last season on loan in Greece, but he struggled for consistency in a campaign disrupted by form and fitness issues.
Now given a clean slate in Poland, he’s begun to show the end product and movement that initially earned him a move to Parkhead.

With Celtic still working to reshape their attack before the transfer deadline, Palma’s progress in Poland is worth keeping an eye on. If he can find consistency, he may yet earn a permanent move, or perhaps a second chance under different circumstances in Glasgow.
For now, though, the focus is on his development at Lech Poznań, where his headed finish could be the first step in reigniting his career.
