However, if you thought there were a lot of empty seats at kick-off, it was nothing compared to the mass exodus five minutes into the second half when Celtic scored their third goal of the day.
Hearts cut Celtic’s allocation believing their support would turn up and get behind the team, creating a tense and hostile atmosphere, however, that backfired spectacularly.
Celtic scoring within 3 minutes took the wind out of the home support who turned up on the day and they didn’t really recover. Hanging in until the second half, they got a slight second wind when Celtic missed a penalty straight after the break, but within five minutes, Hearts were all over the place and Kyogo was deadly, making it three.
This video, posted by one of the lucky Celts who got a ticket on Sunday shows a quite substantial exodus from the stadium, bearing in mind, that they’re only recording one stand.
